When choosing flooring for your home or office in the UAE, two options come up again and again: SPC (Stone Polymer Composite) and LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile). Both are excellent choices, but they have key differences that make one better suited to certain situations.

What is SPC Flooring?

SPC flooring features a rigid stone polymer core that makes it extremely stable and resistant to temperature fluctuations. This is particularly important in the UAE, where temperatures can range from 15°C in winter to over 45°C in summer. The rigid core means SPC will not expand or contract significantly with temperature changes.

What is LVT Flooring?

LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) is a flexible vinyl product that comes in two main forms: LVT Click (floating installation) and LVT Gluedown Dryback (adhesive installation). LVT is softer underfoot than SPC, providing more comfort for standing long periods.

Which Should You Choose?

For most UAE homes and villas, we recommend SPC flooring due to its superior temperature stability. If comfort is your priority — such as in a bedroom or living area where you walk barefoot — LVT is an excellent choice. For commercial offices, LVT Gluedown Dryback offers the best performance and noise reduction.
