Tools You Will Need
Tape measure, utility knife or guillotine cutter, rubber mallet, tapping block, pull bar, spacers (8–10mm), and a spirit level. Having the right tools makes installation significantly easier and ensures a professional finish.
Surface Preparation
The subfloor must be clean, dry, and flat. Any unevenness greater than 3mm over 1.8 meters must be corrected. In the UAE, always check for moisture before installation — use a moisture meter if in doubt.
Acclimatisation
Leave the LVT Click planks in the room for 24–48 hours before installation. In the UAE, this step is particularly important to allow the product to adjust to the indoor temperature before being locked together.
Installation Steps
Start from the longest, straightest wall. Place spacers along the walls to maintain an expansion gap. Click the first row together, then continue row by row, staggering joints by at least 300mm for structural integrity and a natural appearance.
